My name is Norbert Braun. I am 33 years old. I studied medicine in Würzburg, FRG. After my practical year in Basel, Switzerland, I continued my education as a house officer in the Grimsby General District Hospital (Surgery) and at the University Hospital of South Manchester (General Medicine and Nephrology), Great Britain. I participated in the writing of the chapters on glomerulonephritis, interstitial nephritis, and other issues edited by Siegenthaler et al. in the German text-book of medicine ("Lehrbuch der Inneren Medizin", Thieme, Stuttgart). Due to this work I could improve my knowledge in nephrology and rheumatology. At present, I am working at the University of Tübingen, Department of Internal Medicine. My main interest is cellular immunology in renal diseases and the clinical application of extracorporeal detoxification methods. Beside this I am in charge of the Glomerulonephritis-Therapy Study Group . If you are interested in some more information have a look at my list of publications .
